Sales Manager | Starting $18 per hour with commission
 

Yosemite Basecamp is more than just a gear shop—it’s a hub for adventurers looking to explore Yosemite responsibly. We specialize in high-quality outdoor gear, clothing, and adventure planning services, offering both an in-store and online retail experience. Now, we’re looking for a driven, self-starting Sales Manager to grow our online sales, develop marketing strategies, and engage with in-house guests.

This position requires:

  • Drive Online Sales Growth – Expand e-commerce sales through social media, digital marketing, and sales strategies.

  • In-House Sales & Guest Engagement – Work onsite to assist guests with gear, clothing, and adventure planning.

  • Digital Marketing & E-Commerce Management – Create and execute marketing campaigns across social media, email, and website platforms (we use Square, Wix, and Meta).

  • Commission-Based Performance Growth – Your salary increases through your own sales success, with the potential to scale the position into a higher-level management role.

  • Paid Ads & Promotions – Request budgets for targeted advertising and promotional campaigns.

  • Growth Opportunities – A successful first year can lead to remote work, team expansion, and even General Manager responsibilities.A working knowledge of Yosemite or the ability to find and access information efficiently online while learning. 

  • Working directly with guests in person, through email and over the phone to create ideal itineraries for their needs and expectations. 

  • Working with guests to meet adventure needs with existing rental and store inventory. 

  • Creating a fun, clean and friendly environment within the Outfitter.

  • Ability to coordinate with local businesses to meet guest needs and expectations.

Adventure Coordinator | $18 per hour

The Adventure Coordinator acts as a concierge for Yosemite Visitors exploring Groveland, Ca, Stanislaus National Forest and Groveland, CA.  We ensure guests have a seamless and unforgettable experience by offering expert advice, assistance with booking guided adventures, managing hotel stays, selling outdoor gear and facilitating gear rentals. While guest satisfaction is important, Yosemite Basecamp has a friendly and relaxed environment that focuses on what's important in life with protocols and systems that prioritize and foster guest service as well as employee empowerment, outdoor equity, and environmental sustainability.

Many of our coordinators have gone on to become guides or have started their own businesses. We are also working towards creating upward mobility within Yosemite Basecamp and more flexible working options!

  • Working directly with guests in person, through email and over the phone to create ideal itineraries for their needs and expectations. 

  • Working with guests to meet adventure needs with existing rental and store inventory. 

  • Creating a fun, clean and friendly environment within the Outfitter.

  • Ability to coordinate with local businesses to meet guest needs and expectations.

Part Time Housekeepers | $18.00 per hour

This flexible position requires a commitment of 2-4 hours, 5 days a week with a minimum of 15 hour a week. The housekeeping position in charge of cleaning and providing stay over services for our Adventure Loft, Basecamp Bunkhouse and Hiker's Cabin accommodations, as well as other housekeeping needs throughout our Yosemite Basecamp. 


In addition to daily guest cleaning services, you may:​

  • Assist with deep cleaning of rooms and cabins, as assigned.

  • Maintain cleanliness of laundry room and storage areas.

  • Providing assistance to other employees, owner, and guest requests or concerns and escalate to management, when necessary.

  • Complete all in-house laundry for the Basecamp.

  • Provide lunch relief for Adventure Coordinators

  • Manage refuse disposal and recycling programs.

  • Groundskeeping including picking up trash, watering plants and  straightening signs and flags

  • Assist with snow and ice removal.

  • Assist in maintaining a safe work environment for all team members and guests through visual inspection of common area(s) and report all maintenance deficiencies in rooms and common area(s).

 

Full Time Housekeepers | $20.00 per hour

This position pays 40 hours a week and is scheduled 8 hours, 5 days a week. The housekeeping position in charge of cleaning and providing stay over services for our Adventure Loft, Basecamp Bunkhouse and Hiker's Cabins accommodations, as well as other housekeeping needs throughout our Yosemite Basecamp. 


In addition to daily guest cleaning services, you may:​

  • Assist with deep cleaning of rooms and cabins, as assigned.

  • Possible shifts on retail store, and lunch relief.

  • Assist in maintaining a safe work environment for all team members and guests through visual inspection of common area(s) and report all maintenance deficiencies in rooms and common area(s).
